To honor an individual who, through his/her life and work, has made a significant contribution toward enhancement of the cause of NPA

Deborah E Campbell, MD

Deborah Campbell epitomizes the commitment and characteristics of NPA's founding father, Dr. Stanley Graven. She has dedicated her career and personal interests to improving health and health care for fragile infants and pregnant women.

Dr. Campbell has helped NPA grow with her voluntary commitment as an author and editor of NPA's guidebook: Transcultural Aspects of perinatal Health Care.

Currently Dr. Campbell is the Director of the Division of Neonatology at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore, the program director for the fellowship in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine and the Profession or Clinical Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is an extraordinary advocate on the AAP Taskforce on Implementation of Newborn Hearing Screening and the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program as well as an active participant on the National level of the March of Dimes.
