NICU Psychology is a newer specialization in the field of pediatric and health psychology.
The NICU setting is a unique place for psychologists to practice - and it can present new clinical and ethical challenges to understand and address.
Formal training opportunities are still emerging. Current and new NICU Psychologists may feel professionally isolated as they have fewer opportunities for peer consultation and collaboration.
The National Network of NICU Psychologists (NNNP) recognizes the need for guidance for psychologists in NICU settings - especially those who are early in their careers or developing a new NICU program.
This TOOLKIT is intended to provide a blueprint for establishing best practices for psychology service in the NICU.
